Chamomile is a well-known herb that has been used for centuries to alleviate stress and anxiety. It's also been known to help with headaches and migraines, making it a perfect addition to a zero-proof cocktail. Chamomile contains flavonoids that have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce the pain associated with headaches.

Lemon balm is another herb that has been traditionally used to relieve stress and anxiety. It's also been found to have a calming effect on the mind and body. Lemon balm has been shown to have a positive effect on mood and cognitive function, which can help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Skullcap is an herb that has been used for its sedative properties. It's been found to have a calming effect on the nervous system, making it an effective treatment for anxiety and insomnia.

Passion flower leaf & stem is another herb that has been traditionally used for its calming properties. It has been shown to increase the levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain, which can also help alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Mint is a refreshing herb that has been traditionally used to relieve headaches and nausea. It's also been found to have a positive effect on digestion. Mint contains menthol, which has a cooling effect on the body and can help alleviate the pain associated with headaches.

Ginger root is another herb that has been traditionally used to alleviate headaches and migraines, and can aid in digestion.

To make this zero-proof cocktail, you'll need the following ingredients:

  • Juniper’s Head & Heart herbal tea blend
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • ½ oz of pineapple juice
  • ¼ oz of fresh lime juice
  • Tonic or soda water to top
  • 1 cup of ice

Adding pineapple juice, lime, and tonic to this zero-proof cocktail can enhance its flavor and provide additional health benefits. Pineapple juice contains an enzyme called bromelain, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and lime is a rich source of vitamin C, which can help boost the immune system and reduce the risk of heart disease. Tonic water contains quinine, which has been traditionally used to treat malaria and has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties.

To prepare the cocktail, simply add the pineapple juice, lime juice, and tonic water to the cocktail shaker with the tea. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass with ice. Garnish with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint, and feel free to add honey if you like your drinks a little sweeter.

This springtime zero-proof cocktail is not only delicious but also packed with ingredients that can help alleviate headaches and heartaches, making it a perfect choice for those looking to enjoy a refreshing drink without the effects of alcohol. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful spring weather with this beautiful blend!
