In our last blog post about Exploring Baltimore’s Hidden Gems, we browsed the offerings of Mt Royal Soaps, Hex Superette, and Indu Wellness. In this blog post we’ll be exploring some more of Baltimore’s best shops including Kneads Bakeshop, RoofTop Hot, Good Neighbor, Floral Fêtes, Tortuga, Hallowed Ground, and a Baked Joint.
Kneads Bakeshop - Local Goods and Delicious Food
Kneads is a delightful bakery in the heart of Baltimore, known for its artisanal bread, pastries, and a commitment to using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients. In addition to their mouthwatering baked goods, Kneads offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options, such as sandwiches and salads, making it a perfect spot for a quick and delicious meal. They are now even offering dinner service and we can vouch that it is an excellent fine dining experience. In their market section in the front of the store you can find plenty of wonderful gifts all made by Baltimore businesses, including our Juniper teas, superfood hot cocoa, and floral salt and peppers.
RoofTop Hot - Locally and Ethically Sourced Grocery Market in the Heart of the City
RoofTop Hot is run by a husband and wife duo who are farmers outside of their time running the shop, and have curated a local organic market for their community in the heart of the city. They also have a community-supported agriculture program, which offers locally grown organic produce, local eggs, meats, cheeses and home goods, including our Juniper teas.
Good Neighbor - Quality Coffee, Food, Art, and Home Goods for You and Your Friends
Good Neighbor is more than just a neighborhood coffee shop; it's a community hub dedicated to promoting ethically-sourced, organic, and sustainable products. Good Neighbor was established on the concept of recreating that feeling of stepping into a loved one’s home. This space truly holds you, with every sip, bite, and beautiful product to browse, you are transported to an oasis of quality design and comfort. At Good Neighbor, you can find a variety of Juniper Farm products, including Lavender Salt & Pepper, to elevate your home cooking, as well as our herbal teas.
Floral Fêtes - Local Flowers, Gifts, Houseplants, and Decor
Floral Fêtes is a charming florist and gift shop that has a knack for making every day feel like a special occasion. They source their flowers locally and have even sourced some of our blooms, as well as offering our retail packaged products. Floral Fêtes offers a curated selection of exquisite floral arrangements, artisanal candles, and unique gifts that cater to the aesthetic senses of their customers. You definitely will want to check this spot out!
Tortuga - Promoting the Slow Living Movement with Quality Products and People
Tortuga’s whole philosophy is that what you purchase, matters, and that the choices you make have a larger impact on the world around you as well as yourself and your day-to-day life. They offer thoughtfully made goods to uplift and enhance the calm and beauty in your everyday life, made by artists who are living intentionally in ways that are best for them. Supporting Tortuga is supporting sustainability, health and wellness, artists and community. Make sure to check them out next time you’re in the area!
Hallowed Ground - Nature-based Gifts with High Quality Standards
Hallowed Ground opened in a former Oella church in June of 2023 and sells plants and planting accessories like pots and trowels; as well as jewelry, candles and other items with botanical themes. There is also a small nursery and classroom space where the owner plans to offer plant-related classes. This space has truly brought in an opportunity of community for the Old Ellicott City residents, and beyond, and we are so honored to see our line offered in this gorgeous shop.
A Baked Joint - Freshly Baked Bread and Warm Hospitality
A Baked Joint offers freshly baked bread to the DC community, daily, as well as events, mini concerts, and more. Their high quality food and services are a must-try when you are in the area, or even if you aren’t, they are worth the trip! We recently started selling our products here and hope to continue working with them for years to come.
