Sarah Acconcia (she/her)


Before devoting herself to creating delicious herbal medicines, Sarah was an executive chef at multiple award winning restaurants for over twelve years. After facing severe burnout and health issues related to her work, she became a fierce advocate for the wellness of service industry workers. Taking the time to focus on her health, she discovered folk medicines and practices that helped her recover in conjunction with traditional medicines. She began to learn about herbalism and create recipes using powerful plants. Today she is a farmer as well, growing medicinal herbs, edible flowers and cut ornamental flowers.


A graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), she is a multidisciplinary artist and lifelong lover of nature, animals and the ocean. Born in New York City, Sarah lived overseas for much of her childhood. 


Colin Norris (he/him)

Director of Operations


Colin has always fancied himself a Jack of all trades. From a librarian of Johns Hopkins University to a musician in the Baltimore music scene to a farmer and Director of Operations with Juniper, his keen mind for taking care of business has always been a constant. By relying on Sarah’s expertise in herbalism, plant growth cycles and recipes, Colin is able to focus on the logistics of making sure these items get where they need to go. Whether it’s batching and packaging teas or shipping and even delivering orders directly to your doorstep via bicycle, Colin keeps Juniper’s wheels greased and turning.
