Juniper's 2023 Reflection

Juniper's 2023 Reflection

Posted by Sarah Beyers on Nov 27th 2023

As we close out this year, we want to extend heartfelt gratitude to our community for its unwavering support throughout the transformative year of 2023. The encouragement, enthusiasm, and shared commitment to earth-based wellness practices, uplifting community, and shopping ethically, has all kept the momentum for us to continue in our endeavors. As we step into the future, we are inspired by the collective energy of the community and look forward to co-creating a vibrant, green, and thriving space in the years to come. Thank you for being an integral part of Juniper Farm's journey—we couldn't have done it without you. In this reflective blog post, we delve into the highlights of Juniper Farm's journey over this past year, from maintaining cherished partnerships to forging new alliances, and the blossoming of the farm into a hub of events and workshops. Cheers!

Our dedication to ethical sourcing and community collaboration has been unwavering. In 2023, we were proud to maintain strong relationships with valued partners such as Mt Royal Soaps, Tortuga, RoofTop Hot, B Willow, Good Neighbor, and Mend Acupuncture. These partnerships continue to be integral to our mission, enriching our offerings and contributing to the local ecosystem of sustainable and ethical businesses.

This year also marked the beginning of exciting new relationships with Hallowed Ground, Floral Fêtes, Flora Baltimore, Kneads Bakeshop, Nest, Green & Bean Boutique, Indu Wellness, Hex Superette, A Baked Joint and more. Each partnership brings a unique flavor to Juniper Farm's offerings, from artisanal goods to holistic wellness services. These collaborations reflect our commitment to diversifying our network and providing the community with an even broader range of ethically sourced and crafted products.

One of the significant milestones of 2023 was Juniper Farm's owner and founder Sarah Acconcia and her partner and head of operations of Juniper, Colin, moving from an urban setting to their new home on the farm. Despite settling into their new home shortly before the start of this year, they wasted no time in transforming their new space into a vibrant community hub. The farm became more than just a source of locally grown foliage; it evolved into a communal space for workshops, events, and gatherings that brought people together in celebration of nature, wellness, and ethical living.

Juniper Farm took pride in offering a diverse range of workshops and classes throughout the year. From professional photo shoots capturing the farm's picturesque landscapes to hands-on classes with earth-based wellness approaches, the farm became a center for learning and growth. In addition, community picnics became a staple at Juniper Farm, where neighbors and visitors alike came together to enjoy sweet and savory treats made by local chefs. These gatherings were not just about food; they were a celebration of the sense of community and all the talent that Baltimore holds.

As we reflect on the year gone by, the anticipation for the year ahead is palpable. We can't wait to bring even more exciting offerings to the community in 2024, with new products, events, and initiatives that embody the farm's commitment to ethical practices and community engagement. We want to express deep gratitude to the community for the continuous support that has made this journey possible!
